Yellowstone’s universe expands by the day. Yellowstone was first, followed by 1883 and 6666. And now there’s 1932, a new Yellowstone prequel series following the Duttons through the 1930s. This is another Taylor Sheridan production, so expect complex family dynamics, breathtaking western landscapes, and plenty of drama.

WHAT IS THE RELEASE DATE FOR SEASON 1 OF 1932?
1932 Season 1 will be a prequel to Yellowstone and a sequel to the 1883 series. The series, along with the second season of 1883, was officially announced by Paramount+ in February 2022. We do not have a confirmed release date for the series because it is still in development.
Production on 1932 has yet to begin, and it may be some time before the series reaches our screens. However, we believe the release date for 1932 Season 1 should be set for late 2023.
WHAT CAN WE EXPECT FROM THE SERIES IN 1932?
According to reports, the 1932 series will take place during the era of Western expansion, Prohibition, and the Great Depression. Because the series is set in this era, we can expect to see the adult versions of John Dutton Sr. and Spencer Dutton in 1932 Season 1.
Taylor Sheridan, the show’s creator, opened up about the new series and revealed some details. “I had built this story where the Dutton family came from, and I chose 1932 to go back to it because you see the children we met in 1883 trying to raise another generation of Dutton when the Wild West was becoming a playground for the elite of the East.”
