TNT is offering Animal Kingdom fans another treat this weekend: two more episodes are set to air!
We’re coming off a two-hour premiere, so it’s nice to know that episodes 3 and 4 are just around the corner.
So, how long will this tradition continue? Is the rest of the season going to be delivered in two-hour increments?
The bad news is that these two-episode blocks will not be repeated throughout the season. After this weekend, the show will return to its once-a-week schedule, which it has followed for the entirety of its run.
We can’t say we’re surprised by this. It means that after this weekend, there will be nine more episodes to go, which will take us through the next few months.
We believe we have a good idea of what the rest of the season will look like based on what we saw in the premiere event.
There will be more flashbacks to the 1990s, as well as opportunities to see what Smurf did to people like Julie and Pope.
Meanwhile, the Cody Boys will try to carry on with some of their plans for a better future, completely unaware that a secret from the past could jeopardize their entire operation. Catherine’s ghost will haunt them; it’s only a matter of time before that happens.
