IN ANT-MAN AND THE WASP QUANTUMANIA, WHAT WILL MODOK DO?
Multiple villains can be a difficult proposition for superhero films, with Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 3 serving as an example of the problem of too many villains.
Two classic villains in Quantumania could work well, especially since Walton Goggins and Hannah John-Kamen shared villain duties in Ant-Man and the Wasp.
Two villains of the stature of MODOK and Kang the Conqueror, on the other hand, risk unbalancing the film and distracting from the setting of the MCU’s Multiverse Saga.

The Quantum Realm, where much of Ant-Man 3 is supposed to take place, provides one obvious answer to the question of how Kang and MODOK can co-exist in the film.
Rather than competing for screen time, MODOK could be laying the groundwork for Kang’s arrival in the MCU.
The manipulation of the Quantum Realm by MODOK and AIM could trigger the MCU’s Phase 5 by bringing Scott Lang into contact with Kang the Conqueror.
Whoever plays MODOK in Ant-Man & The Wasp: Quantumania and who is cast as the mental organism designed only to kill will most likely be revealed in trailers and promo footage before the film’s February 2023 release.
