The business began to fall apart after she met her future husband, Anthony Strangis. The four-part series follows Anthony as he allegedly gassed and coerced Sarma into stealing $2 million from employees and investors, forcing Pure Food and Wine to close. Sarma’s sister, Ilze Melngailis, now lives in New York, but instead of working in the food industry, she works in international development through the United Nations. In other words, she is currently the Senior Director of the Business Council for the UN and Private Sector Engagement at the United Nations Foundation, as well as the Senior Director of Global Partnerships at the United Nations Foundation.
Ilze’s mission is to make the world a better place by improving gender equality, poverty levels, and the health of women and children, as her work demonstrates at every step. She is also a proud mother, wife, and sister.
WHERE IS JOHN MELNGAILIS RIGHT NOW?
Sarma and Ilze’s loving father, John Melngailis, was a professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and the University of Maryland before becoming an entrepreneur. He is the founder of Black Rooster Food LLC, a company that allows him to celebrate his Latvian heritage by selling nutritious, handmade sourdough rye bread.
In addition, it appears that John Melngailis now resides in New York, is still close to his daughters, and is happily married to journalist Michaele Weissman, with whom he has a son.
WHAT HAPPENS TO ANTHONY CARUANA TODAY?
Although he is originally from Long Island, Anthony Caruana now lives on Park Avenue in southern New York, with only his clothes and his car as luggage. According to his social media, he was once a member of the mafia, but for the past 16 years, he has simply been “the batman of Gramercy Park.” If you want to see him regularly, the good news is that he frequently broadcasts live from his vehicle on his YouTube channel.
WHAT HAPPENS TO NAZIM SELIAKHOV TODAY?
Nazim Seliakhov was drawn into Anthony Strangis’ orbit in the 2010s because he wanted to work in the food industry, but it appears he is now just a successful business developer. Until 2015, the Russian worked as an operations manager at Pure Food and Wine and One Lucky Duck in New York, and then for seven months at Viridium Distribution in Portland, Oregon.
Today, however, Nazim Seliakhov has returned to town as the founder of a pharmaceutical-grade industrial hemp processing lab, allowing him to combine his strategic and technical skills in one place.
WHAT HAPPENS TO STACY STRANGIS TODAY?
Anthony Strangis and Stacy Avery Strangis were married until 2010. Stacy Avery Strangis has been moving forward with her life to the best of her abilities since then, and she now resides in Palmetto, Florida, with people who genuinely care about her. She is also working as an oral surgery assistant to support herself and her two children after obtaining the necessary qualifications.
WHAT BECOMES OF ANTHONY AND SARMA?
