Get everything you need to know about Better Call Saul in the final season!
We expected some surprises at the heart of the Better Call Saul series finale, but just not Betsy Brandt reprising her role as Marie!
The main Breaking Bad character wanted justice for what occurred to Hank inside the original show, and we were delighted to see her return. Her presence also served as a reminder of how good Saul was at his job — scheming his way into a better plea deal.
In the end, it doesn’t appear that Marie got what she wanted, or anything close to it. Jimmy’s initial sentence would have kept him in prison for the majority of his life. Despite this, he was able to reduce his sentence to seven years thanks to a well-planned story.
Did Marie’s presence make a difference in Jimmy’s fate? No, but this is the type of nostalgia that this show as well as the franchise benefit from.
All things considered, this was a masterfully disguised secret. One of the reasons AMC was so comfortable announcing Aaron Paul, as well as Bryan Cranston’s return, was because they knew they still had some surprises in store.

We’re sure, like those actors, Brandt snuck down to Albuquerque and then had to prepare for this role in complete secrecy. It did pay off, and we’re very pleased with that.
Having said that, we anticipate that not everyone will be pleased with the series finale. That is not our opinion, but these finales are polarizing by nature. They must be.
Are you pleased to see Betsy Brandt reprise her role as Marie in the Better Call Saul season finale?
