Get Everything You Need to Know About Big Brother 24!
Unfortunately, we are still waiting for the Big Brother 24 cast to be revealed — but we can talk about other things!
In particular, one of the things we’re pleased to get into today is what you’re going to have almost correct away this season — at least during the first live eviction.
Unsurprisingly, the producers will throw some big twists at the teams this season, including one that could lead to a major surprise. Inside an interview with Us Weekly, host Julie Chen Moonves stated:
“I think the big headline is that the first live eviction night will be unlike any other eviction night we’ve ever had as it may not be one of the people you think will be bounced that night… These houseguests won’t find out about this new twist until that night. So your mind will be racing this season.”
The real question we have to consider is whether or not it’s a good thing. Will the person who is being evicted deserve it?
We understand the need for plot twists, primarily because they keep the show interesting as well as generate a LOT of drama. However, we believe that if you do this too frequently, you risk diluting your product.
This has become a major issue over the last couple of seasons of Survivor. There were some great moments in there, but there were also somewhere the twists did take away from the players.
Finally, we don’t want to make any cruel judgments before the season is over, largely because there’s still a long way to go and these twists may be interesting for other reasons.
For those who are curious, the house this season will have a BB Motel theme, which on the exterior sounds pretty cool. Hopefully, we’ll feel the same way when we see the house.
