Today, Netflix released the fourth installment of the hit Danish political drama Borgen, aptly titled The Power and the Glory, which introduces diplomatic machinations and crises to a whole new audience. Read this to find out if the series is inspired by a true story.

WHERE WAS THE FILMING OF BORGEN THE POWER AND THE GLORY DONE?
Borgen The Power and the Glory are set primarily in Denmark, and more specifically in Copenhagen.
Given that Copenhagen is the political epicenter of the country, it’s no surprise that the directors chose to film Borgen’s Power and Glory there.
However, a few scenes from Borgen Power and Glory were shot in Greenland, which Denmark governs. Borgen Power and Glory would have begun filming on January 11, 2021, and would have concluded in November 2021.
Borgen’s first season, Le Pouvoir et la Gloire, was mostly shot in and around Copenhagen, as was the original series. Christiansborg Palace, Prins Jrgens Grd 1, 1218 Copenhagen, is prominently featured in the series.
Given the political significance of the location, it’s understandable that much of the series is shot in the vicinity of Christiansborg Palace. The majority of the interior scenes were most likely shot in a Copenhagen studio.
Greenland, the world’s largest island, is at the heart of the conflict in Borgen’s Power and Glory. As a result, the directors most likely chose to film the series in Nuuk. It is Greenland’s capital and the seat of the country’s government.
Ilulissat is the third-largest town in Greenland and is located in the municipality of Avannaata. The series’ cast and crew shot some crucial sequences in Ilulissat. The city is a well-known tourist destination.
