We’ve already seen some extremely crafted gameplay this season, and we’re only on Episode 4 of the series. It was a conversation-based game between eight different teams of ten people, and in three episodes, we only got to hear two minutes of actual conversation.
Following that, we were served the most disappointing finale in the series’ history, but we were left with the hope that the game would offer some sort of explanation that would increase our understanding of the game, or at the very least lessen what happened in the end. This is not true.
At the start, there was a thirty-second explanation that provided little satisfaction and left more questions than answers. The show then moved on to the next game in this never-ending struggle.
As we were now supposed to be enjoying a sports festival, there was no time to breathe or reflect on what had happened.
The festival, thankfully, is much simpler than the previous game, but the show has found a way to make it even that boring.
We tell you everything you need to know about the release of Episode 5 of Season 2 of Classroom of the Elite on Crunchyroll!

WHAT WAS THE END OF THIS WEEK’S EPISODE?
Students from all grades were divided into four groups named after planets for this one-of-a-kind exam.
They had to figure out who the VIP student was among them. Four scenarios were proposed based on their performance, with different points awarded to the students.
While almost all participants used negotiation and other methods to put themselves in the best possible position, they overlooked a simple trick that could have made the exam a breeze for them. Almost every test administered by Tokyo Metropolitan Advanced Nurturing School includes a hint or tip to assist students.
In the single exam, students were divided into groups named after planets in the solar system, as previously mentioned.
If the team was Mercury, the first planet, the VIP was the student whose name appeared first when the student names were listed alphabetically.
The same could be said for the other teams. Ryuuen recognized this simple clue from the beginning of the exam, which is why he was certain of the VIPs’ identities.
