With the title “Two Jacks Don’t Fit,” episode 2 of season 2 of Gentleman Jack follows Anne and Ann on their honeymoon in Europe. Suddenly, they run into Isabella “Tib” Norcliffe, Anne’s ex-lover, who is notorious for being quite brutally candid with her words.
Tib ends upbringing Mariana and Anne’s illustrious past up in front of Ann, causing the newlyweds to have trouble in heaven. At home, Anne’s family refuses to abstain from interfering in her life and begins plotting to reassert control over the young woman.
When the couple returns to Halifax, they encounter opposition from their respective families. Anne and Ann decide to visit Crow Nest together as they prepare to enter married life.
