Sony’s exclusive God of War is expected to see new horizons by January 2022 with the game’s port to PC.
We will have to be patient! Sony has announced that its God of War franchise, or rather, the opus that was released in 2014 on the PS4 will indeed be eligible for a port to PC. An announcement that will thrill PCists who dreamed of acquiring a game from the franchise and who did not have a Sony console.
FROM PS4 TO PC, GOD OF WAR NAVIGATES TO ITS ENDING POINT
This is also not very surprising and for good reason, apart from the incessant rumors that announced the arrival of God of War on PC, Sony has not rested on its laurels. The Japanese firm bought more this year studios specializing in the porting of console games to PC.
It is therefore glory and honor that the famous God of War franchise will make its debut on PC. The game will therefore be available on Steam from January 14, 2022, at a price of around € 45 depending on the retailer and the promotions in effect when it is officially released.
On this port, PC gamers will be able to enjoy a 4K version of God of War with enhanced detail using technologies such as DLSS and NVIDIA DSLR. Ultra-wide monitors will also benefit.
Sony said this PC version of the franchise will provide “shadows with much better resolution, improved reflections, and better ambient occlusion integration through GTAO and SSDO.” For PC players to benefit from all the advantages of console players, this port of God of War on PC will allow the acquisition of numerous accessories to equip Kratos.
SONY REISSUES PC SUCCESSES TO ATTRACT FUTURE CUSTOMERS
At the same time, there is a very big potential that is still untapped by Sony, namely PC gamers. They have already been able to enjoy porting famous video games such as Horizon Zero Dawn and Days Gones released last year.
We expect other franchises from Sony to be ported, but no information on this has been released by the company at this time. As a reminder, God of War on PC will be released on Steam on January 14, 2022, at a price of 45 €.
