IS HEARTBREAK HIGH RELEASED ON THE BASE OF A TRUE STORY?
The story that Heartbreak High is based on is not a true one. The Australian television show of the same name, which aired on Network Ten from 1994 to 1996 and on ABC TV from 1997 to 1999, was revived.
The 1990s series was developed by Michael Jenkins and Ben Gannon as a spin-off of the 1993 movie “The Heartbreak Kid,” which was based on a play of the same name from 1987. Sydney, Australia serves as the backdrop for both the first season and the reboot.
