Instagram recently introduced its new Collab feature, but what’s the use?
This week, Instagram lifted the veil on new features, such as the rollout of its new Collab mode around the world, and other updates to its platform.
First tested in England and India, it is still unknown to the public in France, Us, and other countries. So, what is Collab mode, what is it for and how do you benefit from it? Find out all the answers here.
What is Instagram Collab Mode?
Collab, as the name suggests, is a new way to collaborate with another Instagram user, both on posts and Reels. Posted in the Subscriber News Feed, the identification of both accounts will be visible at the top of the posted content and the number of likes and comments will be shared between the two.
This is a good thing for creatives, influencers, and regular Instagram users who share a lot of content for two reasons:
- This not only prevents you from posting the same thing as your co-contributor.
- It will also help you increase your visibility and interaction.
Is Collab mode available in France and Us?
As explained above, the Collab feature was initially launched in the UK, India, and Ireland.
The firm has since confirmed that users around the world should be able to create Collab posts on its platform. However, as with most new features, deployment may take some time.
Make sure to update your app regularly on your smartphone, then all you have to do is wait …
How to post a Collab on Instagram?
The good news is that posting a Collab on Instagram seems fairly easy, the process is similar to mentioning someone else in a post. To do this, you just need to follow the following steps:
Create your post or your Reel via the + icon at the top right of your screen.
Once the Share option appears, tap Tag people.
Select Invite a collaborator.
Find the Instagram account (s) you want to collaborate with, then tap it.
Go to Done to save.
Finally, tap Share.
Once your post is published, your collaborator will receive a notification to let them know, and all they have to do is accept or decline the invitation.
It should be noted that Instagram has set a limit of 20 combined mentions and contributors.
