Instagram Reels: compensation for the most popular creators |
To stay competitive against TikTok, Instagram has decided to pay certain creators to encourage them to post Reels. Compensation appears to be highly variable and can reach $ 35,000.
Instagram Reels to Make Money for Creators
While TikTok continues to grow in popularity, competing platforms such as YouTube and Instagram are doing everything they can to keep their subscribers. Instagram recently introduced Reels with new editing options and other features to take on rival TikTok as a platform for short videos.

However, Meta (formerly Facebook) doesn’t stop there. Indeed, Instagram’s parent company understood that creators had to be compensated in order to retain them. As a result, Instagram is now paying bonuses to creators who post videos to the platform. According to TechCrunch, payouts are part of Instagram’s monthly Reels Play bonus program and are currently only available to select creators.
Variable compensation of up to $ 35,000
While some creators see offers like $ 600 or $ 800, others see much bigger numbers. The remuneration remains rather vague and variable. A designer with around 52,000 Instagram followers was reportedly offered up to $ 1,000, while another designer with 24,000 followers was offered $ 8,500 for 9.28 million views.
A Reddit user posted a screenshot of an offer that showed Instagram was offering a maximum bonus of $ 35,000 for 58.31 million views on the Reels.
According to Instagram, the benefits are being rolled out gradually and are not yet available to all users, and they are currently only available in the United States. At this time, we don’t know when (or if) Instagram plans to expand this compensation to other markets.
