Chika is greeted upon her arrival at Kaguya’s home the following night by the respectful and handsome butler, Mr. Herthaka. She’s been acquainted with him for some time but is unaware of his true identity.
Hayasaka never mentioned to her classmates that she worked as a servant in the Shiromiya household. As a result, she is unable to appear in her normal attire in front of Chika.
Thus, Hayasaka has disguised herself as a man to conceal her true identity since the first time she visited Kaguya. As Mr. Herthaka, she informs Chika that she is a war orphan who graduated from Harvard after skipping a few grades. Chika continues to believe that Mr. Herthaka is a highly intelligent man who works for the Shiromiya family for fun.
