GET ALL THE DETAILS ABOUT LUCY 2’S RELEASE! RENEWAL, RELEASE DATE!
Lucy is now available to watch on Amazon Prime Video! Continue reading to find out if Lucy 2 will ever see the light of day! Lucy has just arrived on Amazon Prime Video in France, reigniting many of us’s curiosity about whether Luc Besson would make a sequel. Besson wrote and directed the science fiction action film Lucy in 2014, starring Scarlett Johansson as the title character.
She was carrying an unidentified drug packet sewn inside her abdomen. When the packet broke, it contaminated his system, allowing him to use 100% of his brain. The story concludes with no hope of a sequel, especially since Scarlett Johansson’s character has essentially transformed into a flash drive.
However, the movie was critical and commercially successful enough, grossing $463.4 million worldwide on a production budget of only $40 million, for EuropaCorp to consider a sequel. But will we ever see a Lucy 2 movie in a theater or on Amazon Prime Video?
WHAT DATE WILL LUCY 2 BE RELEASED?
In 2014, the movie was released. The last mention of a Lucy 2 release date was in 2017 when Shmuger revealed that a sequel to Lucy was in the works, which Besson categorically denied. There haven’t been any updates to Lucy 2 since then, so there’s no telling if she’ll appear at all.
According to what I’ve heard, Lucy 2 is currently not a project for either Besson or Scarlett Johansson, and they both believe that the movie was a success and that it stands on its own. As a result, there’s a good chance Lucy 2 will never be released, whether in theaters or on Amazon Prime Video.
WHAT COULD THE THEME OF LUCY’S SUITE BE?
Lucy 2 could have ideally explored Besson’s film’s ambiguous ending. She could also have explored what happens after Lucy’s knowledge is in Professor Norman’s hands. What is the state of the world today? What happens now that Lucy is everywhere?
Is she in charge of the entire world? Is she a fighter against evil? The possibilities are truly limitless. In addition, because this is a sci-fi philosophical thriller, the ethics of having unlimited knowledge in the hands of multiple humans, such as Lucy, should be explored. I’m sure Lucy had other encounters with the drugs that her body came into contact with after Lucy. In an ideal world, the sequel would also investigate these possibilities.
