THIS WEEK, WHAT HAPPENED?
In the second episode, Paul employs IO technology to assist Bella in communicating with her deceased sister.
The IO collects Chill’s remaining memories and creates a projection with which Bella can communicate. Chill does not recognize Bella as his sister during the conversation.
Chill appears to be unaware of his biological sister but only remembers his blood sister, Asus. Instead of allowing Bella to move on, the conversation prompts the freighter pilot to ask a series of questions.
Paul finally gives Bella a box after she officially joins the Moonhaven community. This box holds Chill’s belongings. A pearl is among the many items in the box.
While Bella is unsure about the pearl, Paul recognizes it right away as a beacon. The beacon contains a hidden memory of Chill as a message for his blood sister. Instead, Bella receives the message.
The message is a cautionary note about the Bridge. Chill claims that the Bridge is a trap that will not save humanity. On the contrary, he will condemn humanity as a whole and destroy everything.
As a result, the episode concludes on a game-changing note. Bella is left with her sister’s quest to save humanity from the Bridge’s threats.
