For those hoping that things will get easier for Max Goodwin on New Amsterdam season 4 in the future, we have bad news: they won’t.
Throughout the last few episodes, we’ve seen Ryan Eggold’s character do just about everything in his power to bring down Dr. Veronica Fuentes and restore New Amsterdam to its former glory. We still want that for him, but the reality is that it will not be easy. There are so many boxes to check, and so many of them involve the board rather than just Fuentes.
We can’t give you an exact end date for the Dr. Fuentes arc right now, but we can say that it will last until at least the second week of May. Episodes are airing on both May 9 and May 10, and we can confidently predict that she will appear in both.
This entire situation must be frustrating for Max because we know what he desperately wants at this point: a chance to return to London and better pursue his joy. But he doesn’t want to leave New Amsterdam in such a precarious position. It’s something we admire about him, but it comes at a high cost to him.
Given that Season 5 of the NBC drama is set to be the final one, we’d like to know more about Fuentes before the season ends. As a result, we could see a new arc for Season 5 before the show’s final curtain.
