EXPLANATION AT THE END OF SNOWPIERCER SEASON 3 EPISODE 6!
Pike’s concerns about New Eden fuel his desire to bring Layton’s reign to an end. Pike gets determined to see Layton’s murder and demands blades rather than a verbal dialogue after Asha’s error about her old life confirms her suspicions.
Layton, on the other hand, wins the knife fight. He fights back and kills Pike by stabbing him. Layton may continue with his New Eden story now that Pike has died, at least until the Snowpiercer warms up in Arabia. Pike’s rashness was the cause of his death. Rather than allowing Layton to speak up and win him over as a brother, Pike went with his gut, which resulted in his death.
Layton experiences images and suffering before falling after paying respect to Pike’s body. Although Layton’s physical condition is alarming, the explosion’s aftermath and Pike’s injuries are not severe enough to kill him. Layton may have passed out from weariness rather than dying because he is pushing his body for the investigation and the heated fight with Pike.
