WHAT IS THE NETFLIX RELEASE DATE FOR WEEKEND AWAY 2?
On March 3, 2022, the movie was released. While we’d love to see Leighton Meester return to Netflix for a sequel to The Weekend Away, it doesn’t appear likely. The story was neatly wrapped up in the movie, and there were a few unanswered questions that could be explored in a sequel.
While we may not learn the full extent of her relationship with Zain, it isn’t enough to justify the release of The Weekend Away 2. In addition, there does not appear to be a sequel to the novel that inspired the movie. Unfortunately, as you may have guessed, there will be no The Weekend Away 2 on Netflix, though we hope to see Leighton Meester soon!
