In This Is Us season 4 episode 14, we know there’s a big mystery surrounding Kevin Pearson — who will he end up with? The show has set up three obvious candidates in Sophie, Cassidy, and wedding singer Arielle, but like the night before the ceremony approaches, he has one person in mind in particular.
Is this someone who will astound a lot of people? Most likely not.
Randall feels like Kevin has been waiting for Sophie to show up for the majority of the night in a sneak peek over at Entertainment Weekly, but he also reminds him that she’s married and not to cause too much chaos around his sister’s wedding weekend.
We don’t believe Randall had to point any of this out to Justin Hartley’s character for him to be aware; it’s difficult to imagine him doing anything to cause that much chaos if she’s still with someone else.
Of course, the question here is what Sophie’s true status is. Is she content in her marriage? Is there a separation? There are many questions, but we know she’s always been present in Kevin’s mind. It’s difficult to imagine that changing unless he truly believes that someone else is the one.
Of course, this begs the question: Is someone else the one? We’re looking forward to seeing this explored in some way during this hour.
