Windows 11 update KB5007215 in detail
It has now been over a month since the new version of Microsoft’s operating system was released: Windows 11. Not surprisingly, several bugs were discovered.
With the new update KB5007215 of Windows 11, the American company has however announced the correction of several problems. The most important was the sharp drop in performance of computers with an AMD Ryzen processor. In particular, this could lead to a reduction of 3 to 4% in performance for applications and up to 10 to 15% for some games. Faced with this situation, Microsoft had already deployed a patch at the end of October. The new update finally resolves this problem in depth.
In addition to this major change, version KB5007215 of Windows 11 also resolves several bugs. Microsoft points out that it has addressed the slowdowns encountered when searching for content through File Explorer. A bug that caused searches using Windows Search Tool and File Explorer to fail has also been fixed.
Here are the other changes in this Windows 11 update:
Fixes an issue that could cause Xbox Game Bar recording issues;
Fixes an issue that caused audio distortion;
Fixes memory leaks caused by the lsass.exe process;
Fixes BitLocker errors on virtual machines;
Fixes a bug that prevents Office applications from working on some machines;
Microsoft has made adjustments to the contrast theme colors and hyperlinks are now more distinct when you hover over them;
Fixes an issue that could cause a black lock screen when you set up a slideshow.
