At this point, it is almost certain that Yellowstone season 5 will set up at least one other show in the Taylor Sheridan universe.
After all, the 1932 prequel has already been greenlit, and we believe it will follow a similar pattern to what we saw in 1883. That show was teased a few times during Yellowstone season 4 before debuting on Paramount+.
So, what about the much-discussed (but still unconfirmed) 6666 spin-off series? Will it be launched during Season 5? It could be, but we don’t believe it will be a top priority right away.
First and foremost, keep in mind that Kathryn Kelly (who plays Emily) is a season 5 series regular. With that in mind, neither she nor Jimmy (Jefferson White) is likely to return to the Four Sixes shortly.
There may still be time to consider whether the two return to Texas and, if so, what their future might be there.
If we had to make a prediction right now, it would go something like this: Season 5’s first half could be used to set up 1932, while the second half could be used to set up 6666. That, of course, is in addition to all of the other stories that are constantly being brought to the table right now.

Yellowstone will always run the risk of spending too much time extending its company rather than focusing on its own story.
We know that this was a season 4 critique, so Sheridan should be wary of it. (Remember that season 5 will consist of fourteen episodes, which will air in two batches for the time being.)
Do you believe Yellowstone Season 5 will be used to establish a 6666 spin-off show?
